Undefeated UACTP Drops Gi + Tech Line Ahead of Tokyo Olympic Games

UACTP, the combat and performance line from legendary streetwear brand, UNDEFEATED, just released a limited collection dedicated to the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games. The beautiful six piece collection consists of hoodies, tees, a hat, techwear top, training shorts, and the pinnacle of the set, a limited edition jiu jitsu gi.

UACTP tapped Vanguard kimono’s lead designer for the collection, which features subtle UACTP branding with white, almost icy, colorways, specked with bold hits of deep red. The red circles on the white canvas represent the rising sun of the Japanese flag, with Tokyo being home to the rescheduled 2021 Olympic Games.

The phrase “Thrill Of Victory, Agony Of Defeat” adorns each piece to capture the essence of a competitor’s unforgiving pursuit of Olympic gold. An outline of the islands of Japan is layered below the phrase. The roman numerals MMXXI are repeated throughout the line.

The collection skillfully depicts the beauty of the games while subtly giving due respect to the country that has been un-fortuitously tasked with the challenge of organizing the ‘pandemic games.”
