The Hyperfly ProComp JetPack is one of the most well-designed bags I’ve ever owned. If you’re like me and use one bag for multiple situations like training, travel, work, etc., then you know how important it is to have a bag that will handle different needs. Who wants to constantly transfer goods from one bag to another, and pay for a new bag for each different occasion?

JETPACK DESIGN AND FUNCTION

So we’ll start with that first; the functionality of the Hyperfly JetPack.

This bag is not your traditional back pack. It’s designed to meet your needs for training, travel, and work. The main compartment is huge with ample room for a gi, a few days of clothes, a camera, or whatever other large items you need to carry.

The zippers to the main compartment zip down the entire length of the bag so you can access even the depths easily without reaching into a black hole. It also has a nice internal organization system on the front panel to keep items separate and secure.

The bottom of the bag features a convertible zip-out dry sack to hold your soiled gear after training. It’s ventilated and does not connect to the main compartment so your wet, used gear will stay separate and breath in the process.

On the side of the bag are two full length compartments for more organization and storage. One of the side pockets is lined with a felt material to protect any valuables, and two elastic net pouches. This is where I store things like iPhone cables, external hard drives, portable chargers, and camera batteries.

The other side pocket is lined with NASA approved Silver Mylar insulation to keep your water, protein shake, sandwich, etc cold or hot. This pocket also has net organization pockets that I use for athletic tape, supplements, and sometimes loose cables. When Im not storing drinks in here I treat it like a regular storage compartment.

The front panel of the bag has a series of storage pockets made for different uses. The top pocket is shallow and meant for small items like pens, notes, hand sanitizer, etc. It has a bunch of different dividers to keep things separate. Below that are two vertical zip pockets on each side of the front panel. One is lined with the same felt as the side pocket, one is not. I use these to store books, papers, and my passport.

On the top of the bag is a small valuables pocket lined with felt. This is an easy-access pocket and the one I use most while traveling. I keep things like my cell phone, keys, AirPods, and wallet in there. This is my most used and essential pocket.

Along the back of the bag is a lap top compartment that runs the entire length of the bag and is lined with felt to protect your computer. It’s big enough to fit a 16” MacBook, as well as a few magazines, tablet, and even a few books. If you use this bag for travel or work, this pocket is crucial.

JETPACK MATERIAL AND DURABILITY

The Hyperfly JetPack is made of a Premium 600D CORDURA® EcoFly® body and a 1200D EcoFly® bottom. These fabrics have exceptional abrasion resistance, tear strength, and are made from recycled materials. So this bag is a tough as it is functional. You can rest assured that your valuables will be protected while inside.

The top handle is made of neoprene and very comfortable to hold even for longer periods like on a subway or airport shuttle. The shoulder straps are adjustable with a sternum strap, reflective 3M safety tape and load lifters Premium YKK zippers and buckles. Overall, the bag is extremely comfortable to wear, even for long periods.

HYPERFLY JETPACK IN ACTION

I use the JetPack as my travel, work, and sometimes gym bag. I travel a few weeks a month and the JetPack meets all of my needs while abroad. It’s big enough to act as a weekend bag for a short getaway while also having space for my computer, electronics, and food.

I also add a separate camera bag inside of the main compartment to carry my video and photo cameras, including mics, batteries, and lenses. It fits neatly in the bottom of the main compartment while still allowing for plenty of room above it for additional goods.

If I were traveling for a competition I would easily use this bag to for my gi, drinks, towels, etc. However, I use a different duffel bag for my daily training.

The only issue I had at first with the JetPack was the fact that it doesn’t fit under some seats on airplanes. Typically, the isle seat has smaller storage under it so the JetPack wouldn’t fit. It will, however, easily fit under the middle seat in a plane, or in the overhead compartment.
