Sneak Peek: Hyperfly Zero Waste Ecofly Collection

One of our favorite jiu-jitsu brands, Hyperfly, is back at it upping their game and pushing the standards for jiu-jitsu activewear with a new focus on eco-friendly practices and products.

Later this month the SoCal label will release its Fall/Winter ’19 collection, which will be “zero waste,” meaning they reuse all extra material.

Apply dubbed the “Zero Waste Ecofly Collection,” the entire line will be made in Los Angeles and all steps of the manufacturing process including knitting, dying, cutting, and sewing will be done in a 5 mile radius.

This dramatically cuts down on the carbon footprint typically emitted in the manufacturing process, where just one t-shirt in the traditional manufacturing model can travel over 16,000 miles from start to finish.

The brand also plans to release a line constructed entirely of materials from recycled plastic bottles.

Here is what Hyperfly had to say about their stance on eco-friendly business practices:

“Sustainability is vital, and we at Hyperfly are trying to incorporate this as much as possible into our products and business. Daily tasks, whether it is using only eco-friendly shipping supplies, minimizing our trash, and working with vendors that share the same vision to help mother earth are some of the steps we take to minimize our footprint.”

The Zero Waste Ecofly Collection will consist of joggers, hoodies, and tees for both men, women, and kids. Here are some sneak peek shots.
