We’ve written about how Lululemon is no longer strictly a yoga brand made for rich, stay-at-home housewives on multiple occasions. And with high-quality products, impeccable style, and cool collaborations, the brand continues to prove that their menswear line should be taken seriously.
In their latest collab, the Vancouver based brand teamed up with Wilderness Collective, an outdoor adventure company that prides itself on “bringing together some of the best things in life into one experience—adrenaline-filled adventure, exploration of wild spaces, incredible food and deep, soulful conversations.”
Some of the locations the Wilderness Collective ventures to includes the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Yosemite, Big Sur, and Alaska. The trips go for a few grand and typically consist of some form of hiking, riding (moto, ATV, UTV), camping, boozing, and site seeing, which overall, sounds awesome.
But so is the gear that the two labels just dropped last week. The collection includes jackets, pants, shirts, shorts, and accessories with the latest fabric technology for comfort and performance, and appealing minimalistic styling.
But the one factor that sets this collection apart from the rest of Lululemon’s mens activewear is durability. Everything that was made was constructed to endure the elements and outdoors activities. Actually, they were made to handle an outdoor experience like one of the Wilderness Collective adventures.
Here is what Ben Stubbington, SVP of Design + Concepts at Lululemon had to say about the drop:
“We wanted to make sure the product could hold up during a trip like Wilderness, but also look really cool. It had to have the Lululemon aesthetic with the needs of the journey, but also be versatile enough to walk down the street in any city with style and function for your everyday life.”
