Five International Activewear Brands You Should Know

The US and Canada dominate the activewear scene, we know this. Most of our favorite brands come out of the big cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver. However, with the rise of “athleisure” and the sportswear industry in general, activewear brands outside of the US are also on the up.

With regard to streetwear and high-fashion, much of the design comes out of Europe, Japan, and countries outside of the US. So it’s no surprise that we’re seeing some awesome sportswear styles and concepts developed overseas. Check out these five international activewear brands that are gaining traction, not only in their own countries, but in the US and around the globe.

Iffley Road

This brand pulled its name from the track where the first sub four-minute mile was ran. Located across the pond in Britain, Iffley Road is for the runners. It prides itself on capturing the old-time essence of the sport of running, and providing high-performance apparel that looks “sharp and feels wonderful to wear.” Their products are made of fine Italian fabric and everything is designed in Britain and made in Europe. Although us at DG are not huge on the running scene, we appreciate fine quality and a unique aesthetic, two things that Iffley Road clearly projects.

With a keen understanding of current trends in menswear, Zanerobe brings a modern street-like aesthetic to its activewear. And with just enough branding to know it’s activewear, they keep their designs subtle, while providing functional pieces that perform when needed.
