With competition season approaching quickly, it might be time to update your Jiu Jitsu gi collection. Luckily, three big names in the martial art have drops on the way. After we saw a bunch of gnarly drops last fall, we’re excited to see what the leading brands can come up with for the spring season.
Shoyoroll Classic 2.0 V3
This drop was supposed to happen Friday 2/24 but was postponed, so we’re waiting to see when we can cop our new SYR. Keep an eye on the website.
From Shoyoroll:
The Made in USA Lightweight 2.0 V3 is a lightweight pearl weave top along with lightweight canvas pants. This kimono is great for everyday training and is always a good alternative to add into your weekly gi rotation.
Our Premium 2.0 V3 is heavyweight pearl weave top with brushed cotton and standard twill cotton pants. This gi is made with a heavy duty weave, to endure long hours of hard training on the mat and is built to last.
Jiujiteiro J1 Black
After dropping their first Jiu Jitsu gi last holiday season, JJTRO is back with a new colorway of their flagship kimono. Not much is provided as far as specs on the new gi, but from first glance, she’s a black beauty and available now.
From Jiujiteiro:
Jiujiteiro offers its second installment of the J1 Gi collection, the J1 Black.
Evolving the fit, feel, and function of the most iconic styles in Jiu-jitsu, the J1 Gi represents the next generation of classic Jiu-jitsu competitive wear.
Scramble Athlete V3
Scramble brand teased their new V3 Athlete gi on Instagram, along with an update to their standard issue gi. Although not much else is available on the updates, the new merch is expected to drop within the next month or two. Keep an eye on Scramble here.
